F.D. Crandall was born and raised in Miami, Florida. He quit high school in 1971 and joined the United States Marine Corps, honorably discharged in 1975.
His career in law enforcement spanned twenty-plus years, first as a Federal Police Officer and last an officer and sergeant with a major agency in California.
He served three tours in
Afghanistan with a private military contractor for force protection, then ten years as an extradition agent with a government-contracted criminal justice service provider in air operations.
Neal Archer is a former MARSOC operator in the Persian Gulf now working for a private intelligence organization, run by his former commander, retired Marine Colonel David Roberts. They conduct covert operations for the United States and allied countries that can’t be associated with such activities, providing them with plausible deniability.
Archer is searching the globe for Tomas “T.R.” Rocha, a former U.S. operator and an old friend of Archer’s, now an international criminal wanted for supplying weapons and explosives to terrorist cells around the world, including Al Qaida and the Taliban. Rocha is tracked to the U.S. and to save Archer, he sacrifices himself along with the terrorists he’s selling to.
